SARRATT HORTI NEWSLETTER 2026
What a year 2025!
We started with our Spring Show which was well supported as always. A trip to Jazzy Rose on Jenks' bus, a pop-up trading stall and a hot summers day at Hampton Court Garden Show.
We finished the year with an Autumn Show reflecting the hot and dry summer and our AGM with a talk by James from Shantocks, preparing us for Autumn.
2026 looks to be another busy year for the Horti.
Our Show Dates are Spring Show - March 28th and Autumn Show September 12th
The AGM is on Wednesday 14th October.
We will have our trading stall at the Shows but we will be moving our Pop Up Stall to Sarratt Shop with a provisional date of 30th May.
We have outings planned locally and a garden a bit further afield - more to come....
More to come on all of these as the plans begin to firm up.
There are a couple of updates to our Schedule this year - these will be distributed in January/February and on our website -
Children's classes - we now have the same item to be made, cooked or grown across the categories, but they will be judged according to age.
Autumn Show
We now have cactus dahlia and semi cactus in the same class
In vegetables and fruit we have reduced the number of items in some of the classes.
And now we have a new class - the longest bean!
MEMBERSHIP AND SUBSCRIPTION COLLECTIONS
This year we will see a change to our subscription collections.
We are offering the following options with a preference for the first to save on collecting cash and a more efficient system. There is no change to the membership fees - £3 for a single person or £5 for your household.
Pay by bank transfer -- Please ensure that in the reference you put your initial and surname so we know that you have paid. The bank details are:

We ask if you can pay your subscription in January so that we can then deliver your Schedule
Pay in the Sarratt shop - The subscription can be left at the Sarratt shop in an envelope marked with your name, address and email. New members can complete a membership form which is available from the shop or our website. If possible please use cash rather than a cheque.
Where payments have not been received by February our committee will come round to collect memberships.

A reminder that we have a discount card entitling SHS members to 50% of 2 adults at the following RHS gardens - Bridgwater, Harlow Carr, Hyde Hall, Rosemoor and Wisley. It is not accepted for visits during flower shows or glow events.
